Elfonía - Gigantes III.

Soothing stream
expanding through the air,
far enough for me
to hear the call.
Awaken and restless,
I come to you
with white words.

Through the longest hour
you have withstood the fall.
Wounds open wide,
your heart in your hand.

Days will pass,
cities will fall and rise
feeding from the passion
in your eyes.
What's left then?
Where will you go
if not beside me?

Weaver of your
childhood dreams,
image of your hopes and fears.
You live through me,
we share the answer.

I can save you from this lie,
I can heal your weary arms.
I can save you,
drift into my voice,
it will lead you
far beyond this life.

Abney Park - I'm Streched On Your Grave

I am stretched on your grave
And I'll lie there forever
If your hands were in mine
I'd be sure we'd not sever
My apple tree, my brightness,
It's time we were together
For I smell of the Earth
And I'm worn by the weather.

When my family thinks
That I'm safely in my bed
From morn until night
I am stretched at your head
Calling out to the air
With tears both hot and wild
For the loss of a girl
I loved as a child.

Do you remember the night
The night when we were lost
In the shade of the blackthorn
And the chill of the frost?
Oh, and thanks be to Jesus
We did what was right
And your maidenhead still
Is your pillar of light.

I am stretched on your grave
And I'll lie there forever
If your hands were in mine
I'd be sure we'd not sever

Oh, the priests and the friars
They approach me in dread
For I love you still
My wife, and you're dead
I still will be your shelter
Through rain and through storm
And with you in your cold grave
I cannot sleep warm

So I am stretched on your grave
And I'll lie there forever
If your hands were in mine
I'd be sure we'd not sever
My apple tree, my brightness,
It's time we were together
For I smell of the Earth
And I'm worn by the weather.

So I am stretched on your grave
And I'll lie there forever
If your hands were in mine
I'd be sure we'd not sever

Fair Is The Colour...

Fair is the colour of my true love's hair
Her lips are like some roses fair
She has the sweetest smile and the gentlest hands
And I love the ground whereon she stands
I live my love and well she knows
I love the ground whereon she goes
I hope the day will one day come
When she and I'll be as one

I go to the Clyde for to mourn and weep
For satisfied I never can be
I write her letters, just a few short lines
And I suffer death ten thousand times

Fair is the colour of my true loves hair
Her lips are like some roses fair
She has the sweetest smile and the gentlest hands
And I love the ground whereon she stands
I love the ground whereon she stands
I love I love I love the ground whereon she stands

Severance

Severance...
the birds of leaving call to us
yet here we stand
endowed with the fear of flight

Overland...
the winds of change consume the land
while we remain
in the shadow of summers now past

When all the leaves have fallen
and turned to dust
will we remain
entrenched within our ways?

Indifference...
the plague what moves throughout this land
Omen signs
in the shapes of things to come.

Tomorrow's child is the only child
tomorrow's child is the only child

Ír Pub hangulat

Megismertettek egy felettébb élvezhető magyar zenekarral, akik hagyományos ír kocsmazenét játszanak. Tegnap volt alkalmam őket élőben is megnézni - mondhatom, a hangulat hatalmas volt - felszabadult, pörgős, barátságos... Rengeteg energiát adott és remélhetőleg kapott is a zenekar - köszönjük a Firkin együttesnek!
